The exhibition Maps. Glimpses on the Borders focuses on the artistic production of four countries-Iran, Turkey, Ukraine, and the U.S./Mexico, places where the ferments of the contemporary are being fiercely felt, both on the art scene and on the social and geopolitical scene.

The exhibition, created as part of the festival Maps. Geographies of the Contemporary conceived by Palazzo Litta Cultura, was hosted at the Milan Triennale until July 15, beginning the partnership between the city’s two cultural institutions.

The event was previously presented for the Mappe di Palazzo Litta Cultura project, conceived by the Regional Secretariat of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MiBACT) for Lombardy and MoscaPartners.

For the visiting arts section, curated by Maria Paola Zedda and realized by ZEIT, Andreco’s works and Irwin’s performative intervention (Prologue), works by Martin Kollar and Anna Zvyagintseva (Ukraine), Daniel Monroy Cuevas (USA/Mexico), Simin Keramati (Iran), and Halil Altindere (Turkey) are on display. For the photography section, curated by MIA Photo Fest , those of artists Manu Brabo (Ukraine), Alejandro Cartagena (USA/Mexico), Shadi Ghadirian (Iran) and Servet Koçyioit (Turkey).
